K&K Invest Group s.r.o., which in previous years focused mainly on residential buildings in Prague and selling flats to discerning domestic and international clients, is expanding its scope.
Managing director Filip Koch, who along with others is driving these changes, described the shift and the path that led to it.
"Our family founded this company more than twenty-five years ago, whatever name it went by at the time. We started out with smaller apartment buildings and always reinvested our profits into growing the business. That's how we gradually expanded, gained experience, and invested in ever-larger projects. Of course, market conditions also play a role, shaping our decisions when acquiring and preparing new projects. We haven't avoided mistakes along the way, but those, too, help you move forward.
We're now moving into commercial development as well. We're planning a large warehouse and office complex near Václav Havel Airport, and we have big plans for this area going forward. We're growing, taking on new challenges, and expanding our portfolio.
That said, we're not giving up on our original residential focus either. We continue to renovate old apartment buildings and restore their original beauty — that's our specialty — but we're pushing further there too. In 2018, we're planning to build a new residential building in Prague 4 with more than 60 flats and a parking garage.
That's just a fraction of our plans. In short, there's plenty to look forward to, and always more to improve.
We invest in charitable causes, carefully renovate buildings in Prague, and care about ecology and its symbiosis with new housing development."
